Although Independence Day has passed, we still feel an obligation to fulfill our patriotic duty by celebrating National Ice Cream Day on Sunday July 17. In preparation, we stopped by for a fun ice cream social at Baskin-Robbins, which has been celebrating National Ice Cream Month all during July.

The girls and I made our own Polar Pizza.
Baskin-Robbins is commemorating this special month with the launch of its Polar Pizza, a donation program to support the United Service Organizations (USO) and the introduction of a new ice cream flavor, USO Patriot Pop®. The donation program and new ice cream flavor are in honor of the military nonprofit’s 75th anniversary and steadfast commitment to supporting our nation’s military throughout their service.
The donations will go towards supporting the USO’s mission of connecting America’s military to their family, home and country, no matter the circumstance. You can also enjoy the new USO Patriot Pop flavor, which is red, white and blue and features cherry, lemon and blue raspberry-filled ices, by the scoop or in a refreshing float.
My daughter and her friends had a blast making their own Polar Pizza, which is a completely customizeable ice cream dessert. The girls showed off their creativity by designing their own personalized yummy creations. You can even add your favorite delicious toppings to make it look like a real pizza! It’s the perfect dessert to share with friends or even serve for a summer birthday party celebration.
Best of all, proceeds from the Baskin-Robbins National Ice Cream Day celebration help honor the USO. And enjoying ice cream on a hot summer’s day is a pretty cool way to show our support.
