It’s hard to believe, but summer’s winding down and back-to-school season is gearing up.
Now that my girls are in high school, one of the keys to success is staying organized whether at home or in the classroom. We always look to our go-to solution with Ziploc® brand products that we buy at our neighborhood Kroger.
That’s because Ziploc® brand offers creative ways to curtail the chaos before the first school bell rings.
Ever since my kids entered kindergarten, I realized Ziploc® brand can be used for so much more than storing food. As my kids got older, they discovered new uses with Ziploc® brand products to help them become organized and gain control as they navigate high school. It’s just the a little reassurance that helps them triumph over the hectic demands of school life.
The variety of products offers handy tools to help teens organize assignments or create locker décor. Sometimes Ziploc® brand can just bring a little order to my girls’ bathroom vanity, which seems to implode every morning as they scurry to apply make-up before catching the school bus.
This fall, moms can help their teens start fresh and go from overwhelmed to overachiever with these super cool tips for organization with Ziploc® brand.
Teen Homework Caddy
Your teens can make their own homework caddy using Ziploc® brand Containers with One Press Seal®. It’s a great way to get your kids ready for the classroom and keep them organized all school year long.
While you and your teen are shopping for school supplies, be sure to grab plenty of Ziploc® brand Containers in different sizes, They’re perfect for storing extra boxes of pencils, markers, flash drives, cell phone chargers, power cords, or other items teens might need to put into their caddy.
My teens say that keeping supplies in a caddy makes homework time a little easier to start to finish. After coming home and getting a snack, they can hit the books. And while working at their desk in their room, a Ziploc® brand Container caddy keeps all of their supplies right at their fingertips.
Teen Care Baggies
Even though I’ve got high schoolers, that doesn’t mean that they’re too big to get a little love note and special treat from mom while at school. I turn to Ziploc® brand to create a little age-appropriate goodie to slip into their backpack. It’s a fun way for them to find a pleasant surprise in between classes.
I like to use either the Ziploc® brand Storage Bags or the Ziploc® brand Sandwich Bags with the Easy Open Tabs®. Then I attached a special label made from my scrapbook materials with a funny or inspirational message on it to give them a little morale booster during the day.
School Notebook Pocket:
My kids have to carry around a lot of notebooks for different subjects, and sometimes they can’t return to their lockers to get additional supplies between classes.
They found the perfect solution with Ziploc® brand Storage Bags. My girls add a custom-made pocket to a school notebook to hold all of the essential school supplies, like pencils, erasers, paper clips, note cards and whatever else they might need!
1 Ziploc® brand Storage Bag
3 scrapbook brads
A sharp knife
A Spiral Notebook
Here’s what you do:
- Open the notebook.
- Lay the Ziploc® brand Storage Bag at the top left inside of the notebook cover.
- Mark with a pencil three points to put the scrapbook brads.
- Use the sharp edge of a knife to make small holes at the pencil marks.
- Insert the scrapbook brads, with the decorative side on the outside of the notebook.
- Then gently push the brads through one side of the Ziploc® brand Storage Bag, above the seal.
- Load the school supplies inside the bag and seal shut.
Everyone has their own way of keeping things organized, but using Ziploc® brand products is the perfect way to keep my teens on track for the new school year and it helps keep their mom from going back-to-school bonkers.
